Materials List

The following is a list of materials I use. The materials listed are suggestions only! It is more important that you develop your own set of preferred materials through your experimentation — makes painting fun and keeps the process alive!


  • portable easel
  • turpenoid or other odorless solvents (only odorless solvents in studio)
  • two sealable containers: one for cleaning brushes, the second for clean solvent
  • several primed canvases in a range of sizes from 5” x 7” to 16” x 20”
  • a palette of paints that includes the following:
  • viridian
