Oil Painting Classes – Mastery of Form – Saturdays 10-1

Oil Painting Classes – Mastery of Form – Saturdays 10-1

“Seamus is a wonderful teacher, bringing excitement and encouragement to his classroom. I always come home with a new tidbit to make my paintings even better, even though I have been painting for several years. I recommend him as a teacher 100%.” ~ Shanna

Learn how to use paint to create realistic form, so you can make objects leap off your canvas. In this 3-month Saturday morning class we will paint from life using a limited color palette (and make several lovely paintings in the process).

Seamus is a professional, working artist. He will teach you how to achieve the magic that can happen with excellent instruction. You can expect animated teaching tailored to each student’s needs. Beginners can expect to gain confidence and understand how to use paints and advanced students will refine their skills to make all their paintings sing. Everyone will work at their own growing edge. All levels welcome.

Minimal supplies are needed – easels will be provided. Please see materials list below or call 510.984.1850

“Seamus has the gift of artist and instructor and is able to project his experience for the student to understand.  He is patient and funny and it is a pleasure to be in his class.  After only 4 lessons, I know more about being an artist than I have from all the other classes I have taken in the past.  If anyone wants to learn how to draw and paint, Seamus is your man….” ~ Amy
