You can enhance your ability to convey the person by developing your expertise in handling the accessories and the hair.  When is it useful to add gloves, hat, earrings, a scarf, a collar or something else that describes the individual more fully?  Explore how to arrange and paint fabric to communicate softness, texture, and form.
