From a trip to Pingyao, China for the annual Pingyao International Photography Festival where people came from all over the world to see all kinds of images from self-expressive abstracts to revealing photojournalism.

The woman in this painting was working in a local restaurant where I stopped in for lunch. She stood for the longest time, gazing out the window wistfully.
