This is the first painting from the Plenty Hidden show, a new body of work created in collaboration with writer Amy Moon.

This piece along with all the others from this show, were created by taking a closer look at the world using self-storage facilities as a vehicle. I often find that by focusing more closely on small aspects of the natural environment, my vision actually expands to see hidden colors and shapes. Painting these normally unseen details, just as they are, can lead to very abstract compositions.
