Three Paintings It has been a while since my last update and, as usual, I’ve been busy. Here’s the exciting news: I am doing a collaborative show with writer Amy Moon that features new paintings (by me) and new poetry (by her). The poems will hang alongside my paintings and I’ll be making prints of our combined work that will be for sale. We will also be having a poetry reading and artist talk that night. Our show is part of East Bay Express’ semi-annual Taste for Art at the historic Sawtooth Building. Taste for Art features small plate tastings from the area’s best restaurants, and an impressive 60,000 square feet of open art studios, film screenings, live music, dance performances, and children’s activities. Many resident artists will show and sell their work. Food and beverage proceeds will benefit the Mo Better Food, Oakland International Film Festival, and River of Words, a children’s program that teaches environmental literacy through poetry and art.
