This was the first painting for the show put together by Amy Moon and me. This painting was done in response to Amy’s poem Fire in the Sky: Fire in the Sky I saw St Elmo’s Fire. I wanted to dance around it. No one I know has seen St Elmo’s Fire. When you’re ready. Ready to be lost at sea. God sends spun gold. Did sailors see God in it? Like God was there. God was watching. Being lost may be scarier than any other scary. Are you going to die? Will you cross over to the other side? No. Not this time. Do you believe? 24 carat fluff. Nothing else anywhere so luminous. I believe. ~ Amy Moon |
